Have you tried making them compound clips? You now have a split screen movie of either the same scene split in clips, or of different scenes. Hi, thanks for the suggestions.

The administrator has disabled public write access. When I try and play it back, its frozen, then one of the clips jumps to life for a couple of seconds, then they freeze again. I'm asking stupid questions here, but one needs to make sure: When selecting the clips, is the the play head at the beginning of the crumplepop clip? To be honest, its frying my brains!
To find out more, including how to control cookies, see here: I will try and fathom it out and if I succeed, I'll let you know! Now it is some sort of goofy having to make compound clips out of a single clip, and positioniong playhead just right to get it to work.
